Special thanks to the School Emergency Response Coalition (SERC) and Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) of Greenville for the generous donation of three AEDs to Greenville Public Schools! SERC, founded by Kevin McGraw, is a non-profit organization that funds life-saving CPR and AED training for public school students and provides AEDs to schools in need. SERC partnered with LMCU of Greenville to donate three AEDs to Greenville Public Schools. Two AEDs will be available for outdoor athletics (one near soccer & tennis and one at Legacy Field), and the third will be available at GMS (between the 6th & 7th-grade wings).

Greenville Public Schools recently named Venus Cox as a recipient of the 2024 Elmer Russell School Bell Award! Venus, who started in 2016 as the GPS Director of Children's Corner & Licensing, was praised in her nomination for always being ready to help with district projects and continuously improving the childcare program for families. "Everyone needs a Venus" is a common sentiment because she's the person you can always count on. Whether offering support, encouragement, or celebration, Venus is dedicated to the well-being of every student, family, and colleague. Venus is deeply connected to our school culture, and we are incredibly fortunate to have her on the GPS team. Congratulations, Venus, on this well-deserved honor!
